Health is defined by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

Our Healing Campaign promote's the proper balance of physical, mental and social well-being.

Acupressure: Use of finger and hand pressure over specific points on the body to relieve pain and discomfort and to influence the function of internal organs and body systems. Various approaches are used to release tension and restore the natural flow of energy in the body.

Aromatherapy: Use of essential oils extracted from plants and herbs to treat physical imbalances, as well as to achieve psychological and spiritual well-being. The oils are inhaled or applied externally.

King Technique: The use of hands and visualization to direct energy to various parts of the body to facilitate healing and relaxation. This energy work influencing the seven major energy centers (chakras) and the flow of energy around and through this field. . The goal of the King technique is to restore harmony and balance, promoting self-healing. According to one’s karma.

Massage: The use of strokes and pressure on the body to dispel tension, increase circulation and relieve muscular pain. Massage can provide comfort and increased body awareness, and can be an excellent method of releasing emotional as well as bodily tension.

Shiatsu: An energy-based system of bodywork using a firm sequence of rhythmic pressure held on specific points, designed to awaken acupressure meridians.

Trigger Point Therapy: A method of compression of sensitive points in the muscle tissue, along with massage and passive stretches, for the relief of pain and tension. Treatment decreases swelling and stiffness and increases range of motion.

Crystal Therapy: A method when various crystals and/or minerals are placed on or around a person to induce deep relaxation, release stress and pain, and promote energy balance within the physical and subtle bodies. Crystals absorb, focus, direct and diffuse our energy fields to enable a diseased or out of balance body to find it's natural energetic rhythm once again. The treatment takes around an hour and crystals may be used singly or in patterns. They are placed on sites of pain, on acupuncture points or meridians, or on subtle energy vortexes called chakras.

Prayer: Prayer is considered to belong in the category of putative energy fields (also called bio fields) according to some studies. Therapies involving putative energy fields are based on the concept that human beings are infused with a subtle form of energy. This vital energy or life force is known under different names in different cultures, such as qui in traditional Chinese medicine, the vital energy or life force proposed to regulate a person's spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical health and to be influenced by the opposing forces of yin and yang.

Wellness Campaign

Wellness is defined by National Wellness Institute as an active process of becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful existence.

  • Process means that we never arrive at a point where there is no possibility of improving.

  • Aware means that we are by our nature continuously seeking more information about how we can improve.

  • Choices means that we have considered a variety of options and select those that seem to be in our best interest.

  • Success is determined by each individual to be their personal collection of accomplishments for their life.

Our Wellness Campaign teaches the individual to becoming aware of and making choices toward a more successful existence through individual achievement.

Color Therapy: The use of electronic instrumentation and color receptivity, according to the work of Jacob Lieberman, to integrate the nervous system and body-mind. It increases well-being, and can be helpful for many acute and chronic ailments.

Mindfulness Meditation Program: A method of relaxing and quieting the mind to relieve muscle tension and facilitate inner peace. There are numerous forms of meditation, taught individually or in group settings, and it is thought that prayer for the self might have an effect similar to meditation.  The nonsectarian form of prayer, which is akin to meditation and used for stress reduction, has long been recognized by clinicians to improve one's sense of well-being.  Studies by Dr. Herbert Benson of Harvard University have shown that inducing a relaxed state of mind is good both for the health and immune-system response.

Yoga Therapy: The use of yoga postures, controlled breathing, relaxation, meditation, and nutrition to release muscular and emotional tension, improve concentration, increase oxygen levels in the blood, and assist the body in healing itself.

Homeless in California—what the data reveals

By Victoria Cabales | June 27, 2018

California has the highest percentage of unsheltered homeless individuals in the country, at slightly under 70 percent. This means that the vast majority of the state’s homeless population does not utilize temporary living arrangements provided by either charitable organizations or government programs. Rather, they have been found living on the streets, parks, or other places not meant for human habitation.  “The lack of shelters is due to a lack of resources, and we don’t really have a plan to end homelessness,” said Christopher Martin, legislative advocate at Housing California. “We don’t have strong programs to end homelessness on the state level. We know the shelters are a part of the solution, but at the end of the day, we know that we need exits for theshelters.”

Los Angeles inhabits enough homeless individuals to fit into the Dodger Stadium. Unfortunately, the crisis is not improving; the number has increased by 16% in the last two years.
