24th Annual Wesak Festival

Mount Shasta May 11-13   Theme: Unity Consciousness

ufo 2017.jpg
Pilgrimage to Baldy and Friends 127.JPG

We invite you to join GGCINC  and Jude the Healer Center Inc. in Mount Shasta celebrate this most wonderful occasion. Jude Unegbu Shamanic Healer, Teacher and Spiritual Advisor will give a talk on the King Yoga Healing techniques he learned from great man, His Eminence, Sir George King, founder of The Aetherius Society, whose spiritual and yoga teachings offered a strong foundation from which Jude has built a life dedicated to serving humanity and loving all things…..

Wesak is the most important of the Buddhist festivals and is celebrated on the full moon in May. It celebrates the Buddha's birthday, and, for some Buddhists, also marks his enlightenment and death. 'The Buddha' is not a personal name but a title, and can be translated as 'the Enlightened One' or 'the One Who Knows'. He was not born the Buddha but became the Buddha through his realisation of full and perfect Enlightenment. This state is also known as Nirvana (Sanskrit)or Nibbana (Pali) and occurs when a person sees and understands the true nature of all things.  As a result, all their greed, hatred and delusion is extinguished, which in turn means that there will be no more re-birth. The Buddha achieved the state of nirvana and this is celebrated on Wesak.
